The Maldives sits outside our on-ground territory, so we are straightforward about how we work here. We do not run operations in Malé. We plan and negotiate through a small number of island teams and villa managers we have worked with for years — which is what lets us hold a multi-bedroom residence for a family, place seaplane departures at civil hours rather than dawn, and settle dietary and privacy requirements before anyone travels.
