Cape Town is a curated destination for us — we plan it through guides, villa managers and estate contacts we have used for years, rather than claiming our own operation there. The difference that makes is practical. We hold houses on Clifton and Bantry Bay before the season fills, we build the mountain and the peninsula around the weather rather than the diary, and we book estate tables in Franschhoek months ahead because the good ones close early.
